Single Parent Gathering, October 10, 2020, outdoors, 12 noon to 2 pm at Winstead Park on Northview in Boise just off Curtis Road. Look for my blue canopy. Local magician Kipp Sherry will be performing close-up magic which is great for both adults and children.

This is a free event. And it is a birthday party. Gifts can be brought for another single parent. Gifts will be distributed by Christmas time. Single Parents are not obligated to bring a gift for another single parent, i.e. free event.
Past Year Review
Last October 2019, we had a single mom giveaway where we fed all the minor kids a McDonald’s Happy Meal. We had a really good turnout then. It seemed like many were passing the word around and I got to meet some new moms.

January 2020, we had a single mom’s Day Retreat at the Hampton Inn. We watched movies and had burgers from Good Burger. And the breakfast the next morning was to Live For!
March 2020 found us in the middle of Covid-19 so no event was planned since we had a stay-at-home order in effect.
July 2020, we had our third annual picnic at Kleiner Park. We had a pizza party and gifts from Safe Place Ministries were given out. There weren’t many who showed but many were interested.

There is an upcoming event for single moms, widows, and women in need on October 17 from 8 am to 2 pm:
Free Oil Change by Christian Brothers Automotive at 1402 W. McMillan Rd in Meridian. The cross street is Linder Rd. Call 208-888-0070 for an appointment. You need to call for an appointment, dear single mom, widow, or women in need. I spoke to Sandy, Brett’s wife. They are the owners. Also, this free Oil Change Offer is being located only at this location on October 17 from 8 am to 2 pm.
