Consider Singing for an answer from God!

I love to sing. This is what I am doing when I am not praying. CR Band May 5 2017 just me

This season, I am promoting my business, Chaplains for Businesses. If I can pray for you as a Small Business Owner for an upcoming decision, event or current crisis, please contact me.

The first half hour is free.

God has spoken to me Through the power of Praise through song:

Acts 16:25-26 (KJV)
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

I have helped a business owner by leading a praise and worship session in their office.  It brought clarity and cleansing for the upcoming changes.

Have you ever thought about playing praise music in your office or just having a worship session once a week, once a month or once a quarter to give it all to God and have him speak to you in the midst of the music?

Try it sometime!  You might be amazed at how you feel afterwards and the answers you get.  I can help with this.

I once had a client that kept changing the deal on me. We had a specific deal for services that I was to provide and they added to our deal without compensation. It was so subtle that I didn’t realize that every other conversation, the original service agreement was no longer the original deal.

So I turn on my  praise music and started worshiping God in my office before the next call which was coming before the day ended.  I was inspired to confront the issue.  I just wrote out my main points and listing the original deal and why the additional services with no additional compensation was not acceptable to me. The thought of having that conversation was not something I even wanted to think about.  But it was necessary…for my peace of mind.  It did not want to be bullied or manipulated in accepting unacceptable terms which probably would have led to resentment later.

When they called back so that we could discuss things, I started talking as soon as I could to explain my position.  The new agreement was made much closer to the original service agreement.

Praising God gave me the strength to speak up to a difficult client.  So the next time you have a complicated situation or something you are not seeing clearly, try putting on Praise and Worship to God music to soothe your soul and give you clarity for the situation.

A Smarter Heart

[social_share style=”black” align=”horizontal” heading_align=”inline” text=”” heading=”” facebook=”1″ twitter=”1″ google_plus=”1″ linkedin=”1″ pinterest=”1″ link=”” /]

“With my whole HEART I have sought You; Oh let me not wander from Your commandments!” Psalms 119:10
“Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; indeed, I shall observe it with my whole HEART.” Psalms 119:34

These verses are simply a sampling of the numerous times the Psalmist refers to following God’s instruction with a whole heart. When God repeats Himself, we need to listen more closely than usual. When He is extremely repetitive, the point is clear, and we are compelled to obey enthusiastically. In order to get the results promised by God, we should abandon ourselves fully to Him from the heart. These verses teach us to not only to seek God whole heartedly but also to be diligent and not “wander” from God’s commandments. This quality of steadfastness is pointed out in Jeremiah 29:13. “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your HEART”.

Ponder This – Do you find yourself obtaining only limited success in your Christian walk? Is it possible that you are exerting limited effort? Tap into your heart fully to experience unlimited results.

After reading this post by Gary Meuser, I had some thoughts:

Recently, I was challenged in my inner most being to seek a closer walk with God. It came from listening to other preachers on YouTube.

I am amazed at how we can settle for status quo because we don’t know to seek more.

Now that I know, I am seeking for more of what is available to me from our heavenly Father in Heaven who made the Heaven and the Earth. I have been so blessed in my relationship with God in the past and I wonder why I stopped seeking him so fervently.

I have had such deep experiences in seeking his presence and not just his hand in what He can give me. I just want to be with Him…close to Him.

My prayer for us all who are seekers of God Almighty, is to continue seeking and never stop seeking. I believe as we earnestly and honestly seek God, he will answer our hearts desire to know Him more and experience more of HIM!

Be blessed in the Lord as you follow Him!

A little about my life this Friday, April 21, 2017

What to blog about today, April 21, 2017?

[social_share style=”black” align=”horizontal” heading_align=”inline” text=”” heading=”” facebook=”1″ twitter=”1″ google_plus=”1″ linkedin=”1″ pinterest=”1″ link=”” /]

I am currently reading How to Flip Your Financial Future by Doug Addison. It is my homework assignment from my business mentor.

I am also working on a Hang Out time for single moms through Single Moms Unite!, LLC. I hope to have a good turn out. This month, we are trying to encourage single moms to get their wills done or at least get some information about it.

As a single mom, I never thought much about an official Will. I did write something out and have it notarized. But nowadays, you can get a lawyer prepared Will done relatively inexpensively. As for me, my kids are all over 21 now.

So, today is Friday. It is my blog day. I also sing tonight with the Celebrate Recovery Band. So I just finished practicing my part at home. I do harmony. (Celebrate Recovery is for hurts, habits and hangup!… Not just drugs and alcohol.)

I love to sing. That’s how I met my current husband.

He asked me to sing with him for our Singles’ group. And while practicing, we talked and prayed together. When the four weeks of practicing were done and it was time to sing before the singles’ group, I felt like I was going to miss my new friend. So we went on a hike at his suggestion and the rest is history.

We have been married for four and half years and we are currently discussing what God would have us do as a married couple. You’ll have to stay tuned to see how that develops.

Meanwhile, as he works the 9 to 5 job and I do the entrepreneurial thing, we minister to others when given the chance. We regularly pray with each other and read books, currently, This Momentary Marriage by John Piper, to each other. And we get ministered to as well.

You can’t always give out and never get filled back up. We might call that an imbalance. We attend a Christian Church for some of our filling up, as it were. We were able to make it to the 7:45 am service for Easter.

Well, besides working with Single Moms, I am also launching Chaplains for Businesses to pray for small business owners for their upcoming events or decisions or just to provide a space for them to pray in their own offices. Check out my website at choose-to-succeed.org to see links and previous post!

Well, that’s all for now.

I hope you all have a blessed day in the LORD.

If I can pray for you, let me know.

If you know a Single Mom, have her join the closed group on Facebook or contact me on my landing page on my web page, and click “Single Moms Unite!, LLC”, to get encouragement in her Faith, Parenting or Business (ideas).

If you know of a Small Business Owner needing prayer or would be open to Christian prayers, pass along their info or have them contact me via Facebook or my webpage.

Thanks, my peeps. That’s all for this Friday!

In Christ Name,

Nek’ka M.
