History of Faith

History of Faith

Today, I was reading in Create Your World by Patricia King. On Page 156 she said something that resonated with my spirit. She was writing about a hard prayer request. It was the first of it’s kind for her. After God answered the prayer request with an affirmative, she described it as a:

“History of faith in God”.
He had met their every need as requested.

Patricia also considered it, “A Promotion in our faith level”. p. 156, Create Your World C2012

What a concept?!?!?

I think about all the times I had to move as a single moms. At first it was with fear and trepidation. The first move from Tennessee was hard in that I was leaving my husband who had recently served me with divorce papers. I could not fathom how to get that moving truck to Ohio. So the men in my family came to help drive the truck all those miles for me.

Two years later in 1998, I was moving from Ohio to North Carolina. I still didn’t have the courage yet to drive that truck nor did I have all the money to move. A brother and sister CDL driving team from church offered to drive my big moving truck from Ohio to North Carolina. And all the moving money did not come until after I was already loading the truck. It came in the sale of furniture as the LORD had directed me to sell.

I find it interesting that the LORD was planning to move me because he sent me to these place with a time limit but he never allowed me to save up for the move…not that I could have afforded to save for it, as a single mom.

Then the most stressful move of all…from North Carolina to California. I had fleeced the LORD to make sure I was suppose to move to California and he answered the fleece. He told me to sell my Toyota Camry for the funds to move but the person picked to buy my car, refused. God had to provide another way. I was in tears trying to obey what I believed God was saying. I believed I was to move my moving date up! So I did. And thankfully, God sent another deliverer to help. Another gentleman bought my car and gave me a loan for the moving truck. All this happened just a half an hour before the moving truck company was going to close. Talk about cutting it close.

I was able to leave early as I felt directed and lo and behold when I arrived in California, a dear heart saw my struggling everyday with my young 4 and 5 year old girls, trying to find a job, find another car, looking for a place to stay and a school for my kindergartner. This young man in college himself said he would give me a gift of $2,000 to help my move. If I had not left North Carolina early, all these things might not have worked out as they did with this financial blessing of a gift.

So I spent a few years in California and God kept opening door. Long story short, I ended up living in two different cities in California before moving to Arizona. Then the HISTORY OF FAITH IN GOD kicked in. I believe I had a PROMOTION IN MY FAITH LEVEL. I was believing that if God was wanting me to move from Arizona to Idaho, he was going to provide.

So it kinda went like this. I was still a single mom…not able to save up for the move. My car had been broke for months. I knew if God got my car fixed that a move was probably going to happen. When I got a new car in the first California city that I lived in, God moved me shortly thereafter. When I got a new to me car in the second city in California, God moved me just months afterwards, as well. And here I was with a broke car using someone else’s truck for me and my homeschooled girls.

God gave the 4th mechanic the know how to fix my car and told me he wanted me to attend a Healing Conference in Idaho. That seemed insurmountable to believe for 1,000 dollars to attend a Healing Conference. So I prayed about it every morning for two weeks. After two weeks of prayer, the LORD unctioned me that he wanted me to move to Idaho, to this same city where the conference was being held. I was undone, to say the least. So I kept praying.

So what happened was that I prayed for first things first. I prayed for an apartment. Found one.
I prayed for the funds to put down a deposit. My two girls got a job making enough for the down payment. But it was their choice to donate it to the cause and they did.

Then I prayed for the money for the moving truck which was 3 times the cost from previous years. God provided quickly. Then after it was all said and done, just with the other things needed, I said, God, if you don’t provide, then I get to stay in Arizona. And you know what happened next, I got the last amount of money I needed for the gas in the truck at $5 a gallon in 2008.

This move to Idaho was the easiest move ever. And for once, when I got to the new destination, I was not stressing or grieving over how I was going to get the truck unpacked in a day…like right away as I had wanted and expected in previous cities. I thought, our boxes are only as heavy as me and my girls could lift. We could manage if we had to with just the three of us and take our time unloading that truck.

But no! There were 11 people who showed up, half of whom I met at the Healing Conference that I had faith to attend and the others were their spouses or relatives. God is good!

Rest in Him and he will make things work.
If God wants something to happen, go along with Him and His strategies.
Don’t fight it. Don’t kick against the goads, as it were.

Will you begin a History of Faith in God?
Will you receive a Promotion in YOUR Faith Level?
